WHY WAS THERE A SECOND WORLD WAR?
What were the main causes?
|
- The League of Nations was also an utter failure at trying to prevent war. When the Great Depression hit, many countries wouldn't listen to the League when told to stop trade with troublesome countries in fear of staring a fight or losing any source of trade feeding their people. The League had no control of the outbreak of war following Germany.
- Hitler broke the Treaty of Versailles by building Germany's armies and invading other countries to take over the land that was once Germany's.
- Hitler hated the Treaty and how the other countries treated Germany after the war and wanted to take back their national pride. He also wanted to drive out all the Jews and exterminate them so that the Aryan race would dominate Europe.
- The second world war started in September 1939 after Germany invaded Poland. This time, Germany was the one to blame for another outbreak of war.
